How Naphthylacetic Acid works and how to use it

1. Fruit thinning

Golden crown and marshal are apples and pears, spray 20 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid after two weeks of blooming, and spray 20 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid + 300 mg/L ethephon after Guoguang apple blooms for 10 days, can receive significant fruit thinning effect.


2. Prevent fruit drop before harvest

The apples of Tsugaru, Marshal and its short-branched varieties, Hongyu, etc., have serious fruit drop before harvesting.

5-10 days before the fruit drop period, spray 30-40 mg/L of naphthalene acetic acid, and then reapply after 10-12 days. Spray once to prevent fruit drop before harvest and promote fruit coloring.


3. Promote rooting of cuttings

Using 500-1000 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid solution to dip the roots of grape cuttings (quick dip) can improve the survival rate of cuttings and increase the amount of rooting.


Add 0.5~2.0 grams of talc powder to 0.5~2.0 grams of naphthalene acetic acid powder, mix well, soak the base of the cutting with water and then dip it in an appropriate amount of powder, and insert it into the seedbed. This method is used for cuttings of difficult-to-root seedlings, such as pomegranate.
