Professor Liu Zhiheng, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is an international expert in microbiology
Professor Liu Zhiheng, born in Henan Province in 1940. He graduated from Beijing Agricultural University in 1964 and received a Master of Science degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1981. Since 1981, he has worked in the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, engaged in the study of microbiology and cosmobiology. He has undertaken a number of research projects in the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the "863" program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the national manned spaceflight project and the knowledge innovation project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He has been the chair of many international collaborative research projects, including Chinese Academy of Sciences, Royal Society, China, China, China, Belgium, China and the Czech Republic. Has Won the Chinese Academy of Sciences Scientific and Technological Progress Award Third Prize, the Commission for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense Prize third prize and nearly 10 provincial and ministerial-level awards. Published more than 160 papers, chief editor, writing 10 monographs. He's a founding member of BISMIS. In 2011, he was awarded the Berger Medal for the highest lifetime achievement in the international microbiology field.
Professor Liu Zhiheng has been engaged in the taxonomy of actinomycetes since 1978 in the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Through further international cooperation, he developed the technology of Actinomycete taxonomy in China, trained professionals and enhanced the international influence of our actinomycete taxonomy.
